We have opted for K12 Techno School’s curriculum because it aligns with the National Education Policy’s recommendation on introducing skill-based learning and coding in school education. K12 Techno Schools program offers a comprehensive computer science and coding curriculum that builds critical 21st century competencies like computational thinking and technology integration for students. The specially designed learning Kits ensure that students get hands-on experience with technology from an early age.
K12 Techno School Curriculum approaches a hands-on learning experience. With the help of different assets, we impart interactive learning. We integrate instructional and prepare engaging and effective lesson plans.
Activities and kits are designed to encourage children to share and show off what they have learned. With an interactive touch-and-feel interface for learning, this curriculum makes learning fun for kids. The curriculum and pedagogy at different stages of schooling is summarized below.
It will consist of 5 years of flexible, multifaceted, play based, activity based and enquiry-based learning comprising of alphabets, languages, numbers, counting, colors, shapes, indoor and outdoor play, puzzles. It will also focus on developing logical thinking and problem-solving methods, developing teamwork and co-operation among children. Drawing, painting and other visual arts, craft, drama, music etc.
shall be part of the school curriculum. The overall aim at this stage shall be to attain foundational literacy and numeracy, socio-emotional & ethical development apart from development of communication skills.
The education at this stage will be based on play, discovery and activity based. This stage will begin to incorporate textbook based formal education, but it will be interactive classroom learning. This stage will lay a solid foundation across subjects including reading, writing, speaking, physical education, arts, languages, science, and mathematics.
Interactive classroom-based learning and discussion of more abstract concepts with the introduction of specialized subject teachers across sciences, mathematics, arts, social sciences, and humanities will begin in this stage. Experiential as well as experimental learning and exploration of relations among different subjects will be encouraged and emphasized during this stage of schooling.
This stage will focus on multidisciplinary study with greater depth, greater critical thinking, greater attention to life aspirations and greater flexibility for the students on choice of subjects in science, mathematics, commerce, humanities etc.
In all stages experiential learning will be adopted including hands on learning, art integrated and sports integrated education, storytelling-based pedagogy, and exploration of relations among different subjects.
All efforts shall be made for teaching science and mathematics in bilingual mode so that students are enabled to think and speak about both subjects in Hindi and English.
In a nutshell, teaching and learning will be conducted in a more interactive manner, questions will be encouraged, and classroom sessions will be containing more fun, creative, collaborative, and exploratory activities for students.
Apart from traditional ways of imparting education, our school will develop smart classrooms for using digital pedagogy and thereby enriching the teaching learning process with online resources and collaborations.
